We had an amazing 7 days at the Waitui beach club resort. The staff were attentive and friendly. A special wee mention to Annie, Romeo, Mary, Vau, Rachel and the team who spoiled us like family. There was no shortage of complimentary canapés, bubbles and shots around the pool. The happy hour daily was a great chance to meet others and watch the sunset while enjoying a few cocktails. The cleanliness of the entire resort was impeccable. Our room was serviced a couple of times a day, plus a turn down service. We loved the breakfasts and the welcoming staff each morning. We both had wonderful treatments at the spa, it was reasonably priced and very relaxing. The lady in the laundry was spectacular and efficient. She returned our washing perfectly folded every time. We highly recommend this beautiful resort.

We had an amazing time in Fiji at the Sofitel. It was the most relaxing trip, the staff are definitely a highlight all so welcoming and lovely especially to our one year old boy. I'd especially like to thank Joe, Sera, Lai, Manoa and Simesi for making the trip extra special looking after me, my husband and son. Some highlights were the wholesome pottery class and a beautiful dinner right on the beach. We will definitely be back!

The staff were amazing so attentive! Miriam who looked after us so well in the restaurant and la parisienne cafe. room was perfect for a family of four, kids loved the bunks and the buffet dinner was outstanding! Restaurant on beach was great

Honeymoon stay

We visited for our honeymoon and had the most wonderful time. The service was fantastic and the staff were all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We visited the hotel restaurants and Solis, Madame So and Waitui Grill were all favourites. There is a good selection at breakfast. We made use of the spa facilities and had wonderful massages and a couple of other treatments. Some particular people to mention: Simi at the bar, Paul, Kini, Bete and Manoa at Solis, and Matilda and Preeti at the Spa. We can’t wait to return!

Absolute perfection

We stayed in the adults only section of the Sofitel Fiji (Waitui Club). This was our third visit in the last year and it continues to amaze me how each time it excels from the time before. Quite an impossible task when it was perfect to start with! Every little aspect is what I truly love about a relaxing kid-free holiday (although the family area of the hotel looked amazing too and made me wish we had brought our children here when they were young - holidays would have been much more relaxed, enjoyable and fun!!) However the Waitui Beach Club: Accommodation- could not fault the room or amenities. Plush, cool, extremely comfy beds and great shower with attention to detail throughout! Pool - could not be more perfect. Not even a speck of grass out of place! The view is to die for, the pool is crystal clear and cool and the swim up bar is a hub for everyone. The free cocktails and canapés which arrive hourly are not to be missed and are certainly not skimped upon. Bubbles, cocktails and even marshmallow vodka shots were amongst our favourites. Stand outs - the food and the staff! Breakfast simply could not have been better with a huge variety to choose from. The lunchtime poolside menu was large and every meal had was amazing. Dinner - oh the snapper. Heaven on a plate! However, as many have said previously, I am sure, it is the staff who make this Club and Hotel stand out from the rest. We have stayed at some exclusive resorts in our time (and in Fiji also) and even though the Fijians are the most beautiful, warm and friendliest of people, I must say they have hand picked the staff at the Sofitel, but mainly the Waitui Club, upon walking poolside they all remembered us from previously, welcoming us with genuine open arms. The whole staff treat you as friends and here is the difference from anywhere else we have visited - they are not only friendly but they are fun. They stop for a chat and instead of simply going through the motions of being polite they are genuinely warm, love getting to know you and above all have a great sense of humour. They are professional beyond words and must be the best group of hotel employees I have EVER come across. I wish I could name every one of them as they are all divine but our absolute favourites are Wilma, Kata, Vau, Rachel and Romeo. You guys stand out and shine in what I can only describe as perfection. Thank you for making our stay. See you next year
